1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to zipo.pics. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the operator of this service 【operating entity name, to be filled】 (hereinafter "we"). By accessing the website, using the service, or registering an account, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

zipo.pics is an image compression tool that runs entirely locally in your browser:

  • Compression is performed by WebAssembly in your device's local environment; your images are never uploaded to our servers;
  • Supported formats include PNG, JPEG, WebP, AVIF, and others;
  • We offer free features and paid features based on "Credits";
  • The service's features, supported formats, and interface may change over time as versions iterate.

We do not guarantee that compressed images will be compatible with specific platforms (e.g., social networks, e-commerce), nor do we warrant any specific compression ratio or visual result.

3. Accounts and Sign-in

  • You may sign in using a third-party account such as Google, Apple, or WeChat ("single sign-on"). You understand and agree that by using a third-party sign-in you have read and accepted that provider's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  • You are responsible for all activities conducted through your account and must safeguard your sign-in credentials.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the service to engage in the following:

  1. Processing or disseminating any content that violates laws and regulations or public order and good morals;
  2. Infringing upon the intellectual property, portrait rights, privacy, or other lawful rights and interests of others;
  3. Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to circumvent the service's technical protection measures, or interfering with or abusing the service's interfaces and infrastructure;
  4. Automated mass attacks, crawling, or stress testing of the service beyond reasonable scope;
  5. Any other conduct that may cause harm to the service, other users, or third parties.

If you breach the foregoing, we reserve the right to restrict or terminate the service to you, and will not refund any Credits already consumed.

5. Payment and Credits

  • Credits: used to offset consumption of paid features. Paid features typically consume a corresponding amount of Credits based on the number of source images.
  • Plans: we offer different Credit plans (e.g., Starter, Pro, Team); specific names, amounts, and prices are subject to the checkout page and the order records described in the Privacy Policy.
  • Pricing: all prices are as shown on the checkout page at the time you place your order and may be denominated in US Dollars (USD).
  • Credit consumption: Credits are deemed consumed once used for compression processing, regardless of whether the processing succeeds (except where caused by a failure of the service, which we may compensate at our discretion).

6. Payment and Refunds

  • Payment for this service is handled by Creem.io (Merchant of Record). Your card information is collected and processed directly by Creem; we never receive or store your card number.
  • Once Credits are purchased and credited, they are generally non-refundable, unless otherwise mandated by applicable law (for example, circumstances required by consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction).
  • For payment anomalies such as duplicate charges or non-delivery, please contact us or Creem with your order number to initiate verification and a refund request; any statutorily refundable portion will be handled per the applicable process.
  • Taxes: displayed prices may exclude applicable value-added tax (VAT / GST) for your region, subject to the checkout page and Creem's settlement.

7. Intellectual Property

  • Your content: you retain the rights to the images you upload and process. The service only provides compression processing and does not claim any ownership of your input or output images. You warrant that you have the right to process the relevant images and do not infringe any third party's intellectual property, portrait, or other lawful rights.
  • Our assets: the software, algorithms, trademarks, brand, website design, and documentation related to this service (excluding your content) are owned by us or the relevant rights holders and protected by intellectual property laws. Without written permission, you may not copy, adapt, or use them for commercial purposes.
  • User indemnity: you agree to indemnify us for losses caused to us by third-party rights infringements arising from the content you process (to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law).

8. Privacy

How we handle your personal information is detailed in the Privacy Policy. These Terms and the Privacy Policy together constitute the agreement governing your use of the service; where they conflict, the Privacy Policy governs matters relating to the processing of personal information.

9. Service Availability

  • The service relies on modern browsers' WebAssembly capabilities. If your browser does not support or has not loaded the compression component (e.g., a "WASM not built" prompt), some features may be unavailable.
  • We strive to keep the service running stably, but it is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent availability. We are not liable for suspensions due to maintenance, upgrades, or force majeure.

10. Disclaimers

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all express or implied warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and the accuracy or satisfaction of compression results.
  • You understand and agree that use of the service is at your own risk; please back up your original images before compressing. Although we provide a "privacy mode" to remove metadata such as EXIF/GPS locally, we are not responsible for the metadata behavior of your processed images on any third-party platform.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including loss of profit or data) arising from the use of or inability to use the service. Our total aggregate liability to you is capped at the amount you actually paid for the service in the preceding 【12】 months (and 【__】, to be filled, for free usage). These Terms do not exclude liability that cannot be excluded under law due to our willful misconduct or gross negligence, or as otherwise mandated by law.

12. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Revised Terms take effect from the effective date stated in the announcement. Your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the revisions.

13. Termination

  • You may stop using the service at any time, or unlink your sign-in method in Account Settings.
  • If you materially breach these Terms, we may restrict, suspend, or permanently terminate your account and access without further notice.
  • Upon termination, provisions that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) remain in effect.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
